Admin

I am already working on getting a spanish version online. What other languages have enough interest to justify their own Lostpedia??
I'm also looking for moderators and sysops for these new versions. Please let me know if you're interested.

Two season= two years and a couple months. If they make a movie that would be a huge mistake (It is television program suicide.). It might be a made for TV movie, but not a movie. Abrams is smarter than that.

the two hour season finales are as good as movies, but if a movie is classed as being released in cinemas i feel it would be a mistake, however it would also be a huge money spinner, so i wouldnt be suprised

Plus, movies make waaay more than tv shows.
Speaking of movies boon is going to be in some horror film.

Besides cartoons not many. None of recent. The making money part it depends how good the movie is. Will it be a Gigli (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gigli_(movie)) or will it be a Lord of the Rings (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Lord_of_the_Rings:_The_Return_of_the_King_%28f ilm%29)? My first concern is that it is targeted at Lost fans only. Lets face it, if I haven't watched a single episode of Lost and I watch Live Together, Die Alone I wouldn't understand what the hell is going on. Is it going to be that way with the movie? The next concern of mine is the rating. Will it be PG, PG-13, or even R? They will probably try to get a PG-13, but I believe if you put most of the episodes in the movie theater they would indeed get a PG rating. Are they going to keep there mild profanity or step it up a notch and characters be dropping F-bombs? 24 (which is supposed to be getting a movie of its own) fans get my back on this. If Jack Bauer says "Mother F****r, it would be natural; but if Jack Shephard says the same it would seem forced. Concern number 3 the plot. See the Lost producer and writers are used being able to stretch the plot over 23 episodes and now they are going to have make new questions and answer all the questions that haven't already been answered in 2 and a half hours and make it Lost-like if you will. Concern number 4 comes from the Cuse and Lindelof themshelves. On the Official Podcast they said they usually give the finished episodes to the ABC people wet, or just finished. You can't do that with movies. Those are my thoughts and concerns.
(For all you lazy people out there)
Summary: Don't make Lost: The Movie
PS: Boone will be in a movie called Pulse (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pulse_%28film%29)

Well, would you want to watch a Lost movie that was designed for people who have never watched the show to get into, one that will basically be a rehatch of what we have seen already. Or do you want one that will be for Lost Fans, but expand on the show in a great way?
Captain Insano
08-02-2006, 03:09 AM
That isn't my point the point is the company that makes it might not put as much money in as they should because they don't expect it to make much because it is only targeted at Lost fans. Which limits the countries it is released in. So some of you out there might not be able to see. Which is why if they make it into a movie it should be made for TV.

Listen to the July 31st podcast...the topic of how many seasons to expect is addressed. The creators have about 5 seasons planned out and don't expect it to go much past that. They do however acknowledge that ABC/Disney and other suits might want it to continue so they can keep making money.

I think it would be better if you transferred your 84 articles from Lostpedia.net to pl.lostpedia.com and make lostpedia.net point to Lostpedia.com
It won't take long, and as your community is far smaller than ours, i am sure that your admin and our admin could easily transfer the user accounts from lostpedia.net to pl.lostpedia.com

Français (FR)

Nederlands (NL)

I think the best way this might work best is if you can convince Admin that you have the time devotion to found and run a language version not listed above, then you should contact him on his talk page (http://www.lostpedia.com/wiki/User_talk:Admin). Requesting a language shows there is interest, but since we are not all multilingual ourselves, we have to know there is the manpower and commitment out there to maintain that version.

This is going to be discussed further during the close season, and hopefully we might add a few more languages to the list.
However, suggestions aren't the only thing taken into account. We will be taking into account traffic that visits the English site, forums and the blog, amongst other things, to ascertain what languages are most deserving next. For example, we wouldn't supply Lostpedia in Uzbek, as we only have 1 person visiting from Uzbekistan.

I strongly suggest we to have a Simplified Chinese version. You don't know how popular this TV show is in China, and many of them want to know more detail about it.
Count me in, we now have at least 3 translators here. If the deal is made, please send me email, thanks!

hello guys,it`s my first post here but I`m a regular visitor of english threads,I love lost and I`m from Iran, guess you know they don`t show lost here and we have to find the dvds somehow to watch them, that`s what we do to watch lost but I know there are many lost fans here , but because there is no magazine or any news of lost here we always check the internet so it`s hard to find the other fans, I don`t think if we can have our own Farsi lostpedia since it appears I`m the only one from Iran!but I just wanted to say if there is any one else out there from Iran they can be more active and maybe we can have a Farsi one, It`s more easier to discuss lost in your own language, believe me!
