No one knows for sure yet. However as Curby mentioned for the past few seasons it was months behind the US. However it might change this year. Because Australia is in a different hemisphere their seasons are different and there prime tv season does not match up with ours. So when it started in september here (North America) it was not prime tv season over their so they waited and started when all the other shows would run (tv season). However now that it is starting in Feb I hear that might be really close to lining up with the tv schedule over there and they may only be a few days behind (ala the UK) however this is just an assumption. Nothing is for sure yet.

As far as I am aware Australia will be getting Lost not too far after it airs in the US. The reasoning is as follows:
Several months ago the Australian Government passed a regulation for television networks to show US broadcast shows shortly after they were broadcast in America. This was due to people downloading shows via the internet and illegal torrents.
So we here in Australia can thank people who were illegally downloading programs via the internet, thus forcing the Government and TV Networks hands in obtaining recent episodes of Prison Break, 24, Greys Anatomy etc.
Just the other night on television I noticed a "rehashed" version of the Lost Season 4 trailer that has been doing the rounds at DarkUFO. When I say "rehashed" it was not as long and mentioned Lost would return in 2008 but did not give a specific date.
So after all my typing and carry on - I would think that Lost would be broadcast in Australia not long after it appears in America.
PS. It will be on Channel 7 (http://au.tv.yahoo.com/tv/) here in Australia, and here is a link to the Channel 7 Lost Page (http://au.yahoo.com/lost/).

You're welcome. ;)
Well, you're welcome for Prison Break, not so much Grey's Anatomy, sorry about that one.
(I'm joking of course :o)

Well, apparently ads over in Australia for Lost have starting coming. They say Lost returns February 2008. No exact date yet but it looks good for being close to the US air date. I really like this whole everywhere is airing very near to each other time wise, should be good for the forums.

Yes, people of all nations should be able to add to the conversation. Glad about Australia because it gives me hope that we will Get new BNH songs shortly after the episodes.:)
When I was in Bahrain for a year, I payed 2 bucks a week on I-tunes and saw S2 and part of 3 that way.

check. pretty much what people have said. i don't know if it was a government regulation, but we used to be months behind (often more) the american tv schedule (and still are for some shows). basically aussie tv was pretty much a shambles, so a lot of people were downloading tv shows. tv networks caught on that thier ratings weren't so good, so they started showing stuff closer to the us air dates, but so far only the "bigger" name shows i.e. house, lost, grey's, prison break and heroes, making it slightly less of a shamble.
i have seen the "rehashed" lost trailer, and yeah, i think it said returning feb 2008. so it shouldn't be too far behind...
