Well, I am a solutionfinder after all. Maybe I should be teaching these people instead?

It's from the end of that film? Really? I don't remember seeing it.
Yes, I know. But hey, got to add a little drama in life and falling down stairs is the way to do it! Elbow is all better now, just a bit sore and limping a bit while my foot is still bruised, but will be as good as new asap.
Do you ever take any animals home with you to look after? Maybe I've watched too much crocodile diaries, as Steve Irwin did that a lot. Though, I know you live in a metal shack and all. Do you tag the snakes to keep track of them?

What I thought. Plus, it was so random in the book! Seriously, it knocked my flow reading it because I couldn't stop thinking why the heck did they just do that? They're running from their kidnappers, so they swim through a lake, then realise there may be crocs in the lake, then randomly this guy sees a snake hanging from a tree so grabs it and smacks it on a rock. It was just sitting there! Priorities people!
No wonder people die so quickly. Need to listen to the audience and so as I say. Then they will survive.

Not too bad. On break at the moment. Though me being an absolute klutz, I turned into an old lady and took a tumble down the stairs. Nothing too serious, but bruised my elbow enough to leave it in a sling for a few days. Calamity Jane in the flesh.
    How bout you?

I come to you with another question.

Reading a book that has one of the people grab a snake and kill it by slamming it on a rock. Could you explain the biology behind how it would die instantly from that? It's not like they have bones like us that would kill them if broken. Surely all that would do is perhaps break muscle tissue, which would maybe create internal bleeding, which would be a slow death. But then, they're flexible.
I get that it's the impact that kills them. But I don't understand why that would effect a snake?

How have you been? We're still FB friends and I see that you're still working in Africa, right? I'm so jealous
