Exclamation ARG: Odd Spacing of letters - research/recap thread.

OK so I am going to try and keep the text that is given with odd spacing in one thread so that it may aid in decoding. Red bold indicates the spacing.

You like it? I did it myself. It takes a very long time when you're making the thread, but, uh... I suppose that's the point, isn't it?

The wording seems stilted, like they had to add words or phrases to get letters or words in the right place, but looking at word positions gets me nowhere.

33 or 35 ST (depending on how you treat a.k.a)
    67 or 69 AS
    26 IN
    52 TH
    68 OF

    Anagrams:
    into shafts
    fatso's hint
tosh faints (are they tosh.0 fans?)
    faint shots
    fattish son
hints fatso (hey, I am not!! Low blow)
    a font shits (possible solution)

just straight up, it looks like a phrase with missing letters to me:
    ST AS IN TH OF

Any thoughts on other ways to tackle it? Think we need more letters?

Could this have started with "LA[space]X"?

Also, right after the LA X reveal it came up more than once that "the space is important" in that, at the time I was thinking "space between LA(city) and (Mr.)X?" but maybe it was to set us up to look for these spacing "typos".

Is that supposed to be "here" or "there". IMO it's supposed to be "there" aka there is a missing "t". So maybe we can add the "t" and find other missing letters?

Another variation on examining letters- View only letters which have been seperated? :/

    Doing this gives us:
    S
    (A) or (S)?
    NG
    OT
    (O) or (F)?

We should come back to this when we have more letters to work with (in either instance, Milo's or my interpretation's)

Lost ARGS says the on Bardot poster it is supposed to be Thee Mike B instead of Theee. So maybe there is another "e" to be counted?

I'm guessing that it's the letters on the left that are important, rather than any other letters. It's always the first letter that's separated from the rest of the word, e.g. "s taying". I'm also guessing that we'll get more as time goes on and more pictures are revealed. Worth keeping a note of all the letters though

I definitely think we cannot rule that "E" out yet, thanks for the reminder!

On DocArzt someone suggested these letters add up to "Shift Station" and are predicting that is the purpose of the Temple. That's why Ben sent the Others there when moving the island. It would allow them inconsiquential ability to shift in time and into alternate realities.

Ah yes, well here is my line of thinking....

It is as likely "Shift Station" as it is "Fatso's hint" (from above). Think about it, what did picture 1 end up being? Hurley!
Maybe our next hint in the painting! see "Fatso's hint" works!

just kidding. I think it is a bit of a reach to expect that we are going to decode the spaced letters after step 1 of a 16 step section of the RG. I am betting we get more spaced letters with picture 2, and more crazy anagram translations!
