    Ooh, cool catch, those symbols!

    I don't think they'd've been screwed without Sam. He broke the plotter for a chance to use it.

    Kinda funny they let him play captain with the wheel, though!

    The Talbot comment about the coordinates not being what he was looking for means he won't find Sonya there, or at least that's how I took it. His reiterating 'you don't know who you're dealing with' after hearing Maxwell meant that Sam had no idea of who or what Maxwell Group is, or what they're leading him on for.

    My Progress shows one activity completed for ch. 4.

    It took me over an hour (and the assistance of two uninterested friends) ...really good for the esteem.

    ok the arrows and numbers have to with capital and lowercase letters and numbers of the brail from the previous hidden image. the hidden code is "X4x98adf09", and when entered as the OPENSTEGO extracter password for the stegosaurus image opens up a README.txt file with a bunch of 1's and 0's as binary, and when translated it reads "When I heard the Learn'd Astronomer", which is a poem by Walt Whitman. The poem is:

    When I heard the learn’d astronomer;
    When the proofs, the figures, were ranged in columns before me;
    When I was shown the charts and the diagrams, to add, divide, and measure them;
    When I, sitting, heard the astronomer, where he lectured with much applause in the lecture-room,
    How soon, unaccountable, I became tired and sick;
    Till rising and gliding out, I wander’d off by myself,
    In the mystical moist night-air, and from time to time,
    Look’d up in perfect silence at the stars.

    This could have something to do with the inverted compass on the Maxwell site -- although most people think it was a simple mistake. Astronomers invert East and West on sky charts because they're looking for things in the sky, and not on the ground. When you hold a sky chart with the directions inverted above your head, the directions are then correct.

    That activity was hard for me. But I finally got it.

    I wonder what that poem means? All that work, decoding the email, finding the stegosaurus pic, using OpenStego, decoding the Braille, all for some poetry? I hope there's more to it than just that.

    I don't like poetry...not much at all.
    Bleh.
    I'm apparently very close minded.
